New Media Center inTurkestan
On March 16th, 2019, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin visited the construction site of the new media center in the framework of his working visit to the city of Turkestan. The project is implemented by the structural unit of the BI Group - BI Construction & Engineering.
“The area of the future four-storied center is 3800 m2. Upon completion, it will host the regional TV channel and the editorial offices of three local newspapers. Correspondent offices of the republican media will also be located in the media center. According to our calculations, the building will easily accommodate up to 500 people”, said Kuat Kozhagulov, project leader.
The media center of Turkestan will be the second center built from scratch, the first one being the TRK "Kazmedia Ortalygy” in the capital. To date, all other media centers of Kazakhstan are located in reconstructed buildings.
“The involvement of Turkestan in the development typical of all large cities, and, in particular, the regional centers of the country, is impossible without full information support of these new positive processes for the region. The new media center should become the voice of the city and help it represent itself in the information space of the country at a high level. Our company highly appreciates the trust placed in us by the head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev and the leadership of the region. We will make every effort and use our experience to implement the project with the highest quality and in due time”, said Aydin Rakhimbayev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BI Group.
BI Construction & Engineering plans to complete the construction of the media center in December this year.
