A week before BI Group Ironman Kazakhstan

Already this Sunday, August 14, 2022, the international triathlon competition IRONMAN 70.3 ASTANA and IRONMAN KAZAKHSTAN will be held in the capital. The full distance will consist of three stages: a 3.86 km swim, a 180.25 km bike ride and a 42.195 km marathon race. Participants will be given 16.5 hours to complete the stage.

2,200 of the strongest athletes from 75 countries are already coming to the capital. Among the Kazakhstani participants: Olympic champion @serik_sapiyev, participant of the Olympic Games triathlete @shatnaya, executive director of "Almaty Marathon" @sakonya.

"This year we are meeting a large number of triathletes, namely: 500 athletes from Russia, 200 from India, 60 from Uzbekistan, 30 people each from Germany and Great Britain, almost the same groups from China, the USA, France and Italy. This is a direct indicator of increased interest in our start, the region and the country as a whole," says race director Alexey Sidorenko. - We call on all sports fans to come to the start on this day and support their compatriots. After all, this time they will overcome a difficult path of 16.5 hours long."
