The leader in the largest international competition at the full "iron" distance BI Group Ironman Kazakhstan 2022 was Russian Alex Grigoriev, who showed an incredible time of 8 hours 13 minutes. With a margin of 20 minutes, the champion overtook all his competitors at the swimming stage.

The second finisher among men was his compatriot Anton Bereznyak (8h 49 min), the third was Kazakhstan's Alexey Vshivtsev (8h 51 min).

Among women with a clear margin, the first came the Russian Valentina Kukrus (9h 46min), the second - the representative of Turkey Guney Merve (10h 9min), the third - also the representative of Russia Irina Vladimirova (10h 23min).

At the moment, 400 participants are overcoming the running stage, and by midnight we will find out which of them will qualify for the coveted 45 slots for the IRONMAN World Championship on the island of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Let's remind, 1700 triathletes from 56 countries of the world came to the start today. The famous participants of the "iron" competitions included the soloist of the "Orda" group Dastan Orazbekov, Olympic champion Serik Sapiev, professional triathlete Ekaterina Shatnaya and the executive director of the "Almaty Marathon" Saltanat Kazybayeva and many others.
