Construction of a new stadium started in Turkestan

On March 16th, 2019, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin visited the construction site of a new stadium in the framework of his working visit to the city of Turkestan. The project is implemented by a structural unit of the BI Group - BI Construction & Engineering. The event was also attended by the Chairman of the Board of JSC “Real Estate Fund“ Samruk-Kazyna” Bolatkan Sandykbayev
The future stadium is an open football field with covered groundstands. The total area of the stadium is 36 500m2. Of these, 15 000m2 is a football field, a training field and a running track.. The total capacity of the groundstands - 7000 seats. The framework of the groundstands is made of metal. The stadium will have all the necessary premises: changing rooms and training rooms, a press center, zones for mediak, VIP lounges, etc.
“According to the requirements of the customer, JSC Samruk Kazyna NWF, the football field will have to be certified according to FIFA-3 standards, meaning as a football field for matches of national importance, which, of course, raises requirements to its quality, ”explained Dias Adilkhanov, Director of the South Division at BI Construction & Engineering.
Construction of the stadium began in the first quarter of 2019. The completion date is December 2020. “It’s not a secret for anybody that sport has always been and remains a part of the corporate culture of the BI Group. That is why the construction of such a necessary sports facility is very inspiring for us. Our company highly appreciates the trust placed in us by the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev and the leadership of the region. We will do our best and use our experience to implement this project with the highest quality and in due time, ”said Aydin Rakhimbayev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BI Group.
