In the Karaganda region, the production of tires was launched today at a factory in Sarani. The solemn event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar, heads of «Tatneft» , Allur and other high-ranking officials.

The construction of a large-scale project for the country began in 2021. It is implemented by KamaTyresKZ LLP, a joint venture of the Russian company «Tatneft» and Kazakhstan's Allur. After the plant reaches full capacity, more than 1,100 people will be provided with jobs here.

"This production is important both for the development of our industry and is a good example for the development of single-industry towns. After all, over a thousand residents of Sarani will be employed in this production. It should be noted that this is the first domestic tire production company that will cover the needs of both the automotive industry and motorists," Roman Sklyar said.

The area of the main production building is more than 87 thousand m2 and is equal to 9 football fields. 3.5 million tires for passenger cars and trucks will be produced here annually. The products will be sold in Siberia and Central Asia. Which will give an impetus to the development of the country's automotive industry, turning Kazakhstan from an import-dependent state into an exporter of tires.

"This is only the first stage of the project, in which we already have the first labor victories. Our plans are to start the production of rubber products at the second stage of the joint project, and at the third stage – the development of the production of tires for agricultural machinery. In general, all this became possible thanks to the unique investment climate of Kazakhstan, the comprehensive support of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev," Rustam Minnikhanov added.

It is noted that the plant was built in record time – in 16 months. The full completion of the construction is scheduled for 2023. The general contractor of the project was a Kazakh company – BI Group.
