Center-East. Bridge crossing over the river Irtysh
About the project

The bridge over the Irtysh River with regulation structures is a complex innovative project implemented by the Kazakhdorstroy division that connected Astana with Pavlodar and Ust-Kamenogorsk.

The construction length of the bridge roadway is 3,243.2 meters.12 kilometers of the bridge will connect the highway Omsk -Pavlodar - Maikapshagai and highway Aksu - Lenin. The bridge crossing over the Irtysh River is the longest in Central Asia.

The project cost is 54 billion tenge. The construction is included in the Nurly Zhol national program for the developm ent of the transport infrastructure of the country. The bridge crossing is conditionally divided into the left-bank floodplain part, the over-water part through the old Irtysh, floodplain part of the island, the over- water part - through the Irtysh, the right-bank floodplain part with bridges across the lake Shchuchye and river Usolka and includes 4 traffic lanes.

Using only modern solutions in bridge building, the company proposed a new construction technology, which allowed reducing construction time by 12 months and at the same time building the arch bridge within the approved cost, as well as eliminating additional costs for dredging, minimizing the negative impact of the work on the environment. It is important that any transport, up to heavy road trains, can go through this bridge construction.

The bridge will significantly improve economic relations between the regions of the country, while increasing their transit potential.
