The Western bypass was divided into three sections:

- road Kyzylorda-Karaganda-Ekibastuz-Pavlodar 1367-1380 km;
- road Leninsky-Aksu-Koktobe-Bolshoy Akzhar-Kurchatov 0-11km;
- transport interchange with access to the bridge crossing across the Irtysh river.

Section 1 belongs to the I-B category and has four lanes and a dividing strip. Section 2 belongs to the II category and has two lanes. In addition, section 1 has a multi-level interchange of the full cloverleaf type; section 2 is pipe typed; and section 3 has an overpass through an electrified railway.
