Uly Dala Eli Center
The Uly Dala Eli Center aimed at popularizing the national brand “Country of the Great Steppe”, has become a new attraction in Turkestan. It is a two-storey building.
The ground floor houses the exposition complexes: Metallurgy of the Great Steppe, Culture of Horseback riding of the Great Steppe, the Great Steppe’s Pearls, Kazakhstan - the cradle of the Turkic world and administrative premises. The second floor represents the following expositions: Kazakh Khanate, Urban culture of the Great Steppe, Elbasy – the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazkhastan - the homeland of apples and tulips, and Future Kazakhstan. The underground floor houses a storage facility for exhibition equipment with support rooms, an interactive room, a computer room, a conference room and utility services rooms. The floor is covered by ceramic granite tiles imitating a black marble. An interesting design solution is the image of the branched roots of the objet d'art Baiterek Tree on the floor made of the same ceramic granite tiles, but of onyx color. A wall bas-relief is made in the form of a rock stone. Worthy of separate attention is a 12 meters long glass bridge installed in the Elbasy Hall above the map of Kazakhstan. The Turkic Hall will become a heart of this Center. It has a concave screen of 14 meters high and up to 11 meters in radius to dive the visitor into historical scenes in 3D format.
